Money-Mind 101 is currently exploring relationships with colleges in New York City and New England. The goal is to merge the Money-Mind 101 curriculum into college freshmen orientation programming. Ideally, incoming freshmen will receive credit for participating in the Money-Mind course. This intervention will alert students to the perils of financial mismanagement from the onset of their college experience, and their first experience of autonomy. It will also encourage and inspire them to spend and track their monies wisely, and with discretion. Students who have taken the Money-Mind 101 training report an increased sense of empowerment, control, and ultimately freedom. “Money really doesn’t grow on trees” regardless of our precocious fantasy lives!
